The Assault On Small Business

Over at the new Halt the Assault blog, a business owner raises some excellent points:

How many more assaults on the ability of small businesses to grow and prosper will we endure before small business owners and their employees reassert their right to earn a living through free enterprise?

Throughout America, small businesses struggle to earn a living, while government payrolls and paychecks keep increasing. Auto company unions were given ownership of the very companies they helped to destroy. Large banks and Wall Street firms that made contributions to the Democratic Party were given bailouts. Energy corporations will receive free carbon credits while everyone else will see huge energy price increases because of fraudulent environmental studies. In addition, our employees could be unionized without our ability to discuss unions with them or even the right to a secret ballot.

[snip]

It should be clear by now that the slogan, Hope and Change, which Obama so frequently used, was really nothing more than Power and Envy. The only equality that is being promoted by Obama, Pelosi and Reid is equality of outcome, achieved by taking wealth from those that earn it and redistributing it to the friends of Obama and their loyal blocs of dependent voters.

[snip]

Unless small business owners and their employees protect, promote and defend free enterprise, misery will replace prosperity for those that depend on free enterprise for their livelihood.

Perhaps when misery is equally shared by all the assault will stop...But, by then, it will be too late.

Help Halt the Assault.
